Product Description
A gift set of "Manuka Honey Sticks" and "Manuka Honey Sticks with Fresh Royal Jelly"!
[Characteristics of honey]We placed beehives in the natural Manuka forests and, in accordance with the flowering season, our beekeeping staff, together with New Zealand beekeepers, harvested the honey, which we bottled one by one at our factory in Japan. This results in a special monofloral Manuka honey that is left unprocessed. Unlike the mild flavors and aromas of honey from clover or acacia, it is characterized by a rich, deep taste and a fragrant floral aroma.
[The Manuka tree]
① "Manuka" is a shrub of the Myrtaceae family, a wild plant that can be found in New Zealand. It is a tea plant that grows to a height of 1m to 3m, and grows naturally in unpolluted nature. It blooms with pretty white or pink flowers about 1 to 2cm in diameter from spring to summer (November to January). (New Zealand is located in the Southern Hemisphere, and the seasons are opposite to those of Japan.)
② "MANUKA" is the name given by the Maori language. Around 1200 AD, Maori people who were cast away from Polynesia to this island discovered "Manuka". The habit of drinking tea made from "Manuka" leaves is the basis of the health of the Maori people.
The medicinal properties of the Manuka tree itself are remarkable, and in ancient times the Maori people and explorer Cook used the sap and leaves extensively as medicine. This custom continues to this day, and Manuka is becoming more and more highly regarded. Especially now that the antibacterial properties of Manuka honey have become clear.
