Ingredients (for 2 people)

  • Chicken breast: 1 piece

    Salt: a little

  • Sake: 2 teaspoons

    Bread crumbs: appropriate amount

  • Salad oil: appropriate amount

    Lemon: as needed

  • [Batter] Cake flour: 5 tablespoons

    [Batter] Water: 5 tablespoons

  • [Sesame sauce] Medium-thick sauce: 3 tablespoons

[Sesame sauce] Manuka Honey: 1 tablespoon

  • [Sesame sauce] Ground sesame seeds, roasted sesame seeds: 1 tablespoon each

How to make it

1Mix the sesame sauce ingredients well.

2Remove excess fat from the chicken breast, cut it into 2cm thick slices against the grain, and sprinkle salt and sake all over.

3Add the batter ingredients to a bowl and mix thoroughly.

4Dip 2 into the batter, pressing down to coat the breadcrumbs.
Place in oil heated to 170℃, turning them over halfway through.
Fry for about 5 minutes until golden brown.

5Serve in a bowl and top with sesame sauce. Squeeze lemon over to taste.

[Tips]
Cutting chicken breasts against the grain will make them tender and juicy.
Mixing ground sesame seeds with roasted sesame seeds will give you a better texture and flavor.
