Beef and cherry tomato stir fry
recipe
Ingredients (for 2 people)
- Beef belly for yakiniku 180g
1 green pepper
- 1/4 onion
6 cherry tomatoes
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 tablespoon Acacia Honey
- 1/2 teaspoon bean paste
Sesame oil (as needed)
- Black pepper to taste
Sake [A] 2 tsp
- Honey Vinegar [A] 2 teaspoons
Acacia Honey [A] 1 teaspoon
- 1 piece of grated garlic (A)
Potato starch [A] 1 teaspoon
How to make it
1Combine [A] in a bowl, add the beef cut into bite-sized pieces, and rub in the seasoning. Remove the stem and seeds from the bell pepper and cut it into irregular slices. Cut the onion into 2cm pieces. Remove the stem from the cherry tomatoes and cut them in half lengthwise.
2Heat sesame oil in a frying pan and add the beef and fry over medium heat. Once the beef changes color, remove it from the frying pan.
3Wipe off any dirt from the frying pan in step ② with kitchen paper or similar, then add sesame oil. Add the onion and fry until it becomes slightly translucent, then add the bell pepper and fry lightly, then push it to the side. Add the chili bean paste to the side of the pan to bring out the aroma, then add back in step ②.
4Add soy sauce and Acacia Honey to ③ and mix well, then add the tomatoes and mix thoroughly. Transfer to a serving dish and sprinkle with black pepper.
5Tips
The meat will become softer if you season it with potato starch and Honey Vinegar. Add the tomatoes at the end to avoid overcooking them, and finish by just mixing roughly.
