Honey stewed hamburger
recipe
Ingredients (Serves 4)
- 400g mixed minced meat
1/2 onion (finely chopped)
- Vegetables for garnish as desired
2/3 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 eggs
4 tablespoons milk
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 teaspoon granulated consommé
1/3 teaspoon nutmeg
- 10g butter
Pepper to taste
- 1 Salad oil
- Ketchup [sauce] 4 tablespoons
Red wine [sauce] 100cc
- Worcestershire sauce [sauce] 1 tablespoon
1 and 1/2 tablespoons Made in Japan Wild Flower Honey [sauce]
- Soy sauce [sauce] 1 tablespoon
How to make it
1Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the onion until translucent. Spread on a tray and leave to cool.
Beat the eggs in a bowl, add the milk and mix. Add the breadcrumbs and leave to soften.
Combine ground meat, ketchup, salt, granulated consommé, nutmeg, and pepper in a bowl.
Mix thoroughly until sticky.
2Divide ① into 4 equal parts and press out the air while forming them into a flat oval shape.
3Heat Salad oil in a frying pan, arrange ② and cook over medium heat.
4Once browned, flip it over and pour water (not included in the recipe) until it is half the height of the hamburger steak. Cover and steam over medium heat, then add the sauce ingredients and simmer for about 8 minutes. To finish, melt the butter and mix.
Place the burgers on a plate, pour the sauce over them, and garnish with vegetables.
5Tips
Mixing the dough thoroughly until it becomes sticky will keep it from crumbling and will result in a fluffy texture.
