Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 250g chicken thighs

    Frying oil (appropriate amount)

  • Potato starch (as needed)

    1 tablespoon light soy sauce (chicken seasoning)

  • Sake (chicken seasoning) 1 tablespoon

    Grated ginger (chicken seasoning) 1 teaspoon

  • 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic (chicken seasoning)

  • Soy sauce [spicy Manuka Honey sauce]

  • Vinegar [Spicy Manuka Honey Sauce]

    大さじ2

  • Manuka Honey [spicy Manuka Honey sauce]

    2 teaspoons

  • Doubanjiang (spicy Manuka Honey sauce)

    1 teaspoon

  • Finely chopped white onion [spicy Manuka Honey sauce]

How to make it

1Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces. Mix the ingredients for the [Spicy Manuka Honey Sauce] well.

2Add the ingredients for [Chicken Seasoning] and the chicken to a plastic bag and mix by hand. Leave to marinate for at least an hour. Drain off the liquid and coat with potato starch.

3Deep fry the chicken in oil heated to 170 degrees until fragrant.

4Place in a bowl and top with the spicy Manuka Honey sauce to finish.
